Whenever I meet a new client, my first question is always, “How do you envision yourself?” It’s essential to understand that it’s not just about the aesthetics of a haircut; it’s about capturing the essence of their identity. For those at the beginning of their transition, we explore styles that can either highlight or soften specific facial features. A layered bob or soft waves can bring out a feminine touch, while a structured fade or angular cut can introduce a more masculine feel.
I’ve always believed in the power of natural texture. “Embrace your natural flow,” I’d say. Whether it’s wavy, curly, or straight, working with, not against, one’s natural hair texture can create stunning results. For those with curls, we might enhance them for added volume. For straight hair, we might introduce some waves or texture for depth.
One piece of wisdom I always share is, “Hair is an evolving journey.” It grows, changes, and adapts, much like we do. It’s okay to experiment, to try different looks until you find the one that feels undeniably ‘you’.
